Well after much laboring over girl names, and reading 25,000 names in a baby name book we have decided that baby girl will now be…
This is also a sneak peek at what is going on in her room. We painted the lavender and hideous purple a light khaki colored called Gobi Desert by Behr. And I painted her name on the wall. Stay tuned for the final reveal of what else we did on the walls. So far it looks great.
Next up… a gorgeously-shaped, but nasty-colored gold mirror I got at a yard sale this summer. She wanted $10, I offered $5. But she definitely needs some refabbing don’t ya think?

I LOVE Kayla! When I was younger, that was my all-time favorite girl’s name (because I was addicted to Days of Our Lives). LOVE IT!
And love the mirror…especially for $5.
The mirror has a great shape… what are your plans? : )
Love the name!
Looking forward to seeing the whole room!
Very beautiful name with a great meaning! Plus “K” is fun letter to play with in her signature when she gets older! (random I know)
Can’t wait to see the room!!!!!
Oooo…I like the name and the new header too! I have the programs to do some designing…I just need a lesson now! Hehehe!
Ooh, I love the name! so sweet!
Did you paint that using an overhead projector or something? I want to do some painting on the wall ouf our next kiddo and have been watching for a good way to go about it…

Katie<><
I LOVE that name! Kayla is so beautiful and strong. Now that Julie and I have had our babies – looks like you’re next! Enjoy your last few weeks of getting dressed, going out of the house and sleeping through the night (if you can even do that). Then you can enjoy all the other things like tiny baby ears, super soft skin and all those cute little girly outfits when Kayla arrives. We’re thinking about you guys!
AWww, that’s sweet! I can’t believe you are 31 weeks already! I love the mirror and know you will make it beautiful!
Perfect name! and you better not change your mind now that it’s on the wall
.
Purdy! Can’t wait to see your babe!
I love the name Kayla. It's sweet and traditional and sounds good with Isaac. That was one of my "things" when it came to naming our kids. They all had to sound good together. Like this, "These are my kids – Isaac & Kayla". It just flows together nicely. I know, I'm weird.
I too love your new blog background.
How did you paint Kayla so prefectly on the wall. I have some drangonflies from Kate’s bedding to paint on the wall. Any suggestions?
I painted Gobi Dessert in my living room at the condo I used to live at. It’s a perfect tan/khaki shade! Can’t wait to see what you do with the mirror!
