Then I cut some paper to size.
With a foam brush I painted on a light coat of Modge Podge (I like the matte finish) and then put the paper on the glue.
The key for me with decoupage is a brayer. You can see what one looks like here. You press really hard and I NEVER get any bubbles, it goes on perfect everytime.
Then I got out my Making Memories foam stamps and a black stamp pad and stamped “design,” “create,” and “inspire” on them.
After they dry you can either put another layer of Modge Podge on it to seal it or spray it lightly with a spray sealant.
And now they grace the wall of my studio.

Puuuuuuuurddddddddy so far–but you are leaving me hanging. What happened to the other pics please…….
Your fabulousness never ceases to amaze me. PLEASE COME VISIT SO WE CAN PLAY AND ACT GOOFY. Before the baby comes, at least.
Very pretty! Ahhh……the room looks so organized.
You did tell all of your friends that you get your organizational skills from (cough) me….right, honey?
Mom
Love it! What a great way to reuse old “art.” I’m quite sure I’ve got similar things in my house that no longer grace my walls. This is a perfect way to use them again!
great idea!! i love how they turned out!
so cute! I need a filing cabinet badly, but have only seen ugly ones…but now you’re inspired me that i could do something with an ugly one. thanks!
Love what you’ve done with those! They look great, I’m going to have to try the brayer trick as I always end up with a bubble on my projects so I’ve been afraid to try doing something bigger.
Hi!
I’m just getting around to checking out Kaley’s blogroll and am loving your project tutorials! Thanks for helping a non-crafty person like me. : )
We’ve just moved into a big ‘ol house and are redecorating on a shoestring budget. I love this idea for a space on my kitchen wall that I haven’t known what to do with.
Love the brayer idea…I have one I never use and I had a tough time trying to get out my bubbles last week on my plate project. Now if I can only find it?
I think I could actually do this:) We are getting ready to have a garage sale and am just getting settled with the idea of getting rid of my old stuff, now you have messed me all up! I just might keep some of the old pictures that I was ready to say good
bye to.
Miss You
Annie
PS, loved the brayer tip! Thank you, just used that tip*a*rollie!
OMG I love these!! Great idea…and fabric…it’s to die for. lovely.
ok, I’m super behind on your blog! Your studio is looking super cute! I can’t wait to be able to do mine. We are hoping to move in like three weeks into the new home!!!
As always…you are the most clever crafty girl ever!
