I got out a vacuum and cleared out her disease (spider nests everywhere) . I gave her a bath and then lightly sanded her (she said it hurt just a little). I coated her with two coats of paint, sanded and scuffed her up a little, drilled new holes, added new hardware, and put a layer of paste wax on her to protect her from further deteriorating. She is so lovely in our spare bedroom. You can see the smile radiate from within her. She is home, where she belongs.

I’m so thankful you know first aid and were able to save her. So many would have driven right on by. They would have felt helpless, not know what to do to save someone in such a poor state. But you, Beckie, you made her BEAUTIFUL!
wow!
i love what you did!!!
it looks great.

my impressive, crafty little friend…you never cease to amaze me. Nice job. She looks so cute in the room with that comforter. I shall have to come and visit her someday and keep her company in your guest bedroom.
you rock! nice job. I would have driven by thinking…man how could someone just dump that by the road…and be on my merry way. You have a vision and you DO IT!
Wow! What a difference! Another thing to add to the list of items made by the talented hands of Rebecca! Dad says that he has to watch out….before long you will be teaching him how to do wood projects. He really was impressed. Good job!
What a great find and you make it from shabby to chic. Great job.
